Why I Wrestle

Why I Wrestle

Because ideas matter. And some are worth bleeding for.

We live in a world full of noise. Loud opinions. Polarizing headlines. Shallow takes.
But under all that volume is a deeper ache—a longing for something real, true, and unshakable.
I believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ offers that. But it often takes wrestling to see it.

That’s why this space exists.

What Is “Ideas Worth Wrestling With”?

It’s a space for seekers and thinkers. For believers, skeptics, and the ones caught somewhere in between.
It’s a place where you can bring your questions, your doubt, your intellect, your passion—and find that faith doesn’t ask you to check any of them at the door.
It’s where we wrestle well: with Scripture, with culture, with philosophy, with ourselves.

Mission Statement:

Ideas Worth Wrestling With exists to help people think deeply and love boldly—equipping them to pursue truth with grace, and to walk through doubt, complexity, and conviction with Jesus at the center.

We do this through:
Biblically grounded writing, Thoughtful theology, Spirit-led discipleship tools, and Open-hearted conversation

This is not about having the loudest take.
It’s about being faithful—to God, to people, and to truth that sets us free.

Why Me? Why Wrestling?

Because this is my story too.

I’m Aaron Bean—a protector by wiring, a thinker by calling, and a disciple in progress.
I spent years working as a 911 dispatcher, trained to step into chaos and serve others at their worst moments. That same spirit now moves me to fight a different kind of battle: the battle for truth in a world of confusion.

I’ve been standing in front of others, sword drawn, cutting down the lies aimed at them.
But for much of my life, I’ve let the enemy twist what was true—until I started believing things God never said about me.
I let shame get too loud.
I stopped raising my shield.
But God…

He began teaching me to fight for myself the same way I fight for others.
To wrestle not just with ideas—but with identity, worth, and grace.
To stop hanging my head.
To stand up.
And to say: “Not today!”

This site isn’t a platform—it’s a forge.
A place where truth is hammered out, and grace tempers the steel.
Where I share what I’m learning, not because I’ve arrived, but because I’m being shaped too.

Where This Is Going

Vision Statement:

We envision a world where people no longer fear doubt or complexity—but walk through it with courage, conviction, and Christ at the center.
We see thinkers becoming worshipers. Skeptics becoming disciples. And everyday believers learning to wield truth like a sword—not to wound, but to free.

This isn’t about building a name.
It’s about being faithful to His.

And if just one person walks away with a deeper faith, a clearer mind, and an open heart—
then the wrestling will have been worth it.
